1: Importing Additional Data
Once your initial file has been imported, you can begin importing additional data into your survey.
From the Survey Overview Page, click the IMPORT button at the top. Alternatively, click the Import icon in the Mapping Rules section. This opens the "Import File" page.
From the "Import File" Page, you will find two tabs: "Import data" and "Import loop". To import additional data, use the "Import data" tab. This tab works similarly to when you first create a File survey.
2: Importing Loops
Loops are useful when working through specific questions or data points, such as a list of brands or categories. To import loops, follow these steps:
Navigate to the "Import loop" tab.
Select the File to Upload. If accessed through the "Mapped Files" area, the file will already be pre-selected.
Select the Parent Level. If accessed through the "Mapped Files" area, the Parent Level will already be pre-selected.
Once the Parent Level is selected, use the "Loops" drop-down to choose the loop you want to import.
Note: All loops from previous levels must exist in the current file. This includes questions and answers for those loops.Click the Next Step button to continue to the "Map Fields" section.
Choose your Respondent ID, and if your SPSS file contains Multi Choice or Grid questions, ensure you select the appropriate separator used for these question types.
Note: The respondent IDs in your looped file must match those in the parent file. For example, if IDs 1-100 are in the first file and 101-200 are in the second, the looped data must be imported in two batches: IDs 1-100 as a child file to the first SPSS file and IDs 101-200 as a child file to the second SPSS file.
