Setting up the File Properties

To set up the file properties, follow these steps:

Map Fields

1. Use the dropdown menu to select how the system should handle the Response ID. By default, it is set to "system_generated."

2. Select the field for the Interview Start variable from the dropdown menu. It is also set to "system_generated" by default.

3. Choose the appropriate variable for "Status" from the dropdown menu.

4. (Optional) Click the MAP FIELD button to confirm the mapping for the selected variables. For each status (e.g., Complete, Incomplete, Screened, Quota Full, Error), select the corresponding "Source Status" from your SPSS data file using the dropdown menus. Click the SAVE button to apply and finalize the status mappings.

5. Enter the character used as a separator for multi-choice questions in your SPSS file.

6. Specify the character used as a separator for grid questions in your SPSS file.

7. Click the PREVIEW button to review the variables in the SPSS file that will be imported as Multi and/or Grids.

8. Click the IMPORT button to complete the process and upload your SPSS data.
