1: Accessing the Contact Databases Page
Click the Contacts icon in the sidebar to open the Contact Databases page.
If you already have a contact database, it will be displayed.
If you do not yet have a database, the Create Contact Database page will open automatically.
2: Creating a Contact List
Click the drop-down arrow next to "Create Contact List". You will see the following options:
1 Base on a survey: Creates a contact list using background variables from an existing survey.
2 From scratch in Authoring: Opens the contact list editor in Authoring, allowing you to create a contact list manually.
3: Creating a New Contact Database
3.1: Naming the Contact Database
Enter a name for your contact database, and click the Next button.
3.2: Select a Source Survey
On the Select Source page, choose a survey from the list and click the Next button.
3.3: Select Background Variables
On the Select Background Variables page, check the boxes for each variable you want to include, then click the Next button.
3.4: Configure Linking Options
On the Configure Linking page:
Choose to create a new field or link to an existing one.
Select the appropriate field name if linking.
3.5: Review and Finish
On the Review and Finish page, check your settings and click the Save button.
The contact database will be created, and you will be returned to the Manage Contact Database page.
